The Situation

My life is undergoing a lot of change presently.  Part of this entails the short sale of our home. In the midst of the chaos I must produce artistic renderings of mystical subjects for a commission. Somehow this seems perfectly natural.

There was a fellow I only knew briefly, but liked very much. Blair passed away at a young age. I spent time with him in his last days and was struck by the tremendous amount of energy present as the portal was opening for transit. Blair, the voyager, was maintaining the lines of tension between the phenomenal and the non-phenomenal worlds. He had a foot in both worlds at once and this was palpable, the space crackled. There came a moment when it was clear to me, this is how we should be living.

Evolution is a stress related disease.  To volunteer to evolve is to swim upstream. That movement upstream, taken to a very high archetypal level, reveals a profound mystery. At the base of this movement is a very simple idea. Our acts can fall into one of two categories – they are either borne of love or fear. My path moves me to confront my acts of fear for the sake of love. It was in this way that I was taken up by the mystery that the painting will document for which “The Situation” is a study.

Demolition within and without, but I am seeing some gems poking out from the rubble. Don’t know what’s going to happen next – the fact that this has always been so is better appreciated. To experience the creative force moving in and through this is well worth the price of admission. The moment becomes more of a sanctuary. And given a good mission, the moment becomes a golden opportunity.
